Nee Kosam Ee Gulabi

Probably during 1990’s Andhra Jyothy weekly declared a competition. The theme was “Love Letters”. Yandamoori Veerendranath, the famous Telugu Novelist was the person who judges the Love Letters.  That was the inspiring and driving force behind me to dare write a Love Letter.  Though I wrote the letter, just before sending that letter to the magazine, I used a pen name. To my surprise this letter was selected as one of the winning entries. It got third prize.

In his note Yandamuri mentioned that the writers of the winning entries are far better than the famous writers in presentation, style and in all aspects!

Though I never got such a chance to handover or post the letter in real life, most of my friends and to my surprise the people whom I do not know also thanked me for writing such a beautiful letter. Do you know the reason? They just copied some of the parts and passed it on to their girl friends… and you know the result was so encouraging for them….
