On the o
ccasion of World Earth Day 2010, Vikasa Dhatri in assication with 'World Earth Day Network' organized workshops for 8,9 and 10 standard children of Vasavi Public School, Himayatnagar, Hyderabad. 
The topic of the workshops was 'sustainable consumption'. Around 400 students participated in the workshops.
There were environmental games, multimedia presentations, small group discussions and lectures and presentations by 
students All the students actively participated in the programme and make it a huge success by taking up individual actions, group actions at household, school and community level. The programme was started with an introduction to Vikasa Dhatri and services. Workshops were held during 19-21 of April 2010.
